Alternative farming methods are raised to improve or optimize the current farming situation due to the associated environmental issues, such as resource consumption. This study aims at developing a method used to analyze the resource use efficiency of different farming systems, named organic, conventional, and agroforestry system on different continents. The chosen resources are energy, nitrogen, water, and soil/land. Comparisons between this method and the others, as well as the results of those farming systems will be discussed.
